Reward Yourself
I find that a great source of motivation is knowing that there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. A prize to work towards. Whether your goal is to run for 1 mile, lose 4 pounds, or top your sales figures plan a reward for yourself: a milkshake, a movie, a champagne toast. The size of the prize should mirror the size of the goal. I had a friend who's husband promised her a diamond ring for finishing her second marathon. You bet she finished and qualified for Boston. How do you reward yourself when you hit a goal?
