If you are trying to lose weight it is important to know your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate). This is how many calories your body will burn at complete rest. If you consume less than this amount your body will actually go into survival mode and store fat. So, your calorie cutting may actually make you gain weight instead of lose weight.
